George Henry Hall 1825-1913 American Artist Hall was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. He studied at the Royal Academy in Dusseldorf in 1849, followed by study in Paris, and afterward to Rome, where he opened a studio. Upon his return to America, Hall opened a studio in New York and began to paint still lifes. Hall visited Spain several times, and spent a year in study in Egypt.
