| Fenyes studies to the drawing school of Budapest with Bertalan Székely. He first exhibited in 1895. Among his early works the most famous are his one and two-figure compositions depicting poor people. In 1899, he was one of the founders of the colony of artists of Szolnok; it some is the one of the personalities marking and there works during many years. From 1904, it uses clearer colors, and with his strong colorisme it represents places of small cities in the trains impressionist, then in a near way post-impressionism. In 1907, he was one of the creators of the Circle of the Impressionist and Hungarian Naturalistes. In his third period, from 1914, he painted landscapes and biblical episodes. |
