Abstract and Modern Art
Abstract and Modern Art -
Abstract art focuses on expressing the internal form of an object rather than
the pictorial representation. Abstract artists select and then exaggerate or simplify
the forms suggested by the world around them. Abstract art paintings don’t
display in particularly recognizable objects but allows the artist’s imagination
to be expressed freely on the canvas.
Modern Art is a general term, used for most of the artistic production from
the late 19th century until approximately the 1970s. Modern art refers to a
new approach to art where it is no longer important to literally represent a
subject.
